PetroChina holds centralized procurement of valve authorization once every two years, which means that the winning enterprises can obtain orders from PetroChina for two consecutive years, and it is estimated that the annual sales volume of Wenzhou enterprises will be more than 3 billion yuan.
Chen Wenrong, Secretary General of Zhejiang pump valve industry association, said that since the 1990s, PetroChina, Sinopec and other large state-owned enterprises did not dare to use valves made in Wenzhou, but tried to use them 10 years ago. Now our city has become the largest manufacturing base in the valve procurement system of PetroChina. It can be said that after more than 20 years of unremitting efforts, Wenzhou valve industry has fought a beautiful industry turnaround battle.
However, affected by the continuous downturn of the global economic situation, although Wenzhou valve industry has achieved a counter trend growth situation, the growth rate has declined to varying degrees. According to statistics, the total industrial output value of Yongjia pump and valve industry reached 25.096 billion yuan last year, an increase of 1.6% over the same period of last year. However, the number of hand-held orders in the whole industry decreased by 17.3% compared with the previous year.
