At present, the valve casting industry is in the period of seeking the direction, facing the following problems and opportunities:
1、 The technological level is backward and the raw materials are wasted enormously
According to statistics, the total casting output in 2009 was 35.3 million tons, ranking first in the world for 10 consecutive years, increasing at an average annual rate of 10.9%. However, due to the limitation of casting technology, cast steel, cast iron and other raw materials are wasted in the production process. Most of the valve casting enterprises in China have some shortcomings, such as small scale, low industrial concentration, unreasonable product structure, weak independent innovation ability, backward equipment and technology, and the extensive development mode of high investment, high consumption, high pollution, low efficiency and low efficiency is highlighted. In the environment of more and more strict requirements for energy conservation and emission reduction, the backward technology is not conducive to the cost saving of valve industry in China, nor is it conducive to the valve industry to strive for greater living space in the fierce market competition, and is not conducive to the long-term development of valve industry.
2、 Low per capita consumption and weak foundation
It is understood that the valve casting industry belongs to the sunrise industry, but the current per capita consumption level of valve casting products in China is not high in the world, which is only 22 US dollars per capita, which belongs to the initial stage. At present, the international economic form is complex, and the capital debt crisis is becoming more and more serious. The export form of China's steel and metal products is severe. If the valve casting industry wants to get rapid development, it is inevitable to pull the domestic demand. But at present, the domestic demand is at a low level, and the follow-up development has a long way to go.
3、 Manufacturing industry rebounded slowly
Statistics show that the PMI of China's manufacturing industry was 50.6% in November, 0.4% higher than that in October, and the index has risen steadily and slightly in the last three months, indicating that the domestic economy has bottomed out and picked up. However, it is worth noting that the operation of small enterprises has not improved at present, and its PMI index has been below the 50% prosperity and recession line since April, and has declined instead of rising in November. On the whole, the current recovery foundation of the manufacturing industry is not stable. The valve casting industry is a branch of the manufacturing industry, and the general environment affects the relative process of the industry.
4、 Limited policy expectations
As the central economic work conference is about to be held, it remains to be noticed how the state will set its tone on the economic trend in 2013. With the launch of qe4 in the United States on December 13, the author expresses that it is necessary to treat it cautiously in terms of domestic policy. It is reported that in the development process of the foundry industry, national policies such as energy conservation and emission reduction, monetary easing and other national policies have a significant impact on the industry. The development of valve casting enterprises should pay more attention to the changes of the casting industry and adjust flexibly according to their own operating conditions. In the case of limited policy expectation, the development of valve casting industry in 2013 may present a cautious and optimistic state.
To sum up, with the bottom up and recovery of economy in the fourth quarter of 2012, people in the industry predict that the economy in 2013 is better than that in 2012. However, judging from the industrial basis, technological level, policy and other factors, whether the spring of valve casting industry in 2013 will come or not still needs to be treated with caution, and everyone's expectation should not be too optimistic.
